Michael Lavigne MSc, FRM, CIM

Michael Lavigne is Global Head of Trading. In this role, Michael oversees all trading operations globally for Fiera Capital.  He is also involved in designing and improving trading systems and architecture, as well as managing trading and counterparties relationships. Michael also works with clients to provide expertise in designing optimal trade implementation solutions across asset classes.

Michael has over 14 years of experience in the investment field and joined Fiera Capital in 2016. In his previous role at Fiera, he was a Portfolio Manager responsible for the development and management of several quantitative strategies.

Michael received a bachelor’s degree in business administration from Bishops University, where he majored in finance and economics, and a master’s degree in Financial Economics from HEC Montréal. Mr. Lavigne also holds his Financial Risk Manager (FRM) and his Certified Investment Manager (CIM®) designations.
