Vietnam Maintains Growth Momentum as US Tariff Risks Ease

Following President Trump’s announcement on 2nd July, the United States has agreed to reduce tariffs on most Vietnamese exports to a level now estimated to be around 22% to 23%.

In practice, the final effective rate may be even lower, as individual sectors continue to negotiate specific exemptions and clarifications with the Trump administration. While Vietnam’s overall tariff position remains fluid, the direction of travel is clear: the risk of blanket punitive measures has eased considerably.
