Takafumi Sudo

Takafumi Sudo joined Fiera Capital Asia in 2025 as Chief Operating Officer and Chief Compliance Officer. In this dual role, he is responsible for strengthening the firm’s operational and compliance infrastructure and plays a key role in supporting the expansion of Fiera’s presence and investment platform in the Japanese market.

Sudo brings over 30 years of experience in the asset management industry, spanning compliance, portfolio management, trading, and risk management. He spent nearly three decades at Nomura Asset Management, one of Japan’s largest asset managers, where he held senior roles including portfolio manager for Japanese equities and Director of the firm’s overseas subsidiaries in Hong Kong and Singapore. After returning to Tokyo, he served as Senior Compliance Manager, overseeing global regulatory coordination across Asia, Europe, and the United States.

Before joining Fiera, Sudo was Chief Compliance Officer at UI Japan, the Tokyo office of UI Group, an investment and development firm focused on industrial real estate. He led all aspects of regulatory and corporate compliance, chaired the Compliance Committee, and was a member of the Investment Committee.

Sudo holds a Bachelor of Laws from Gakushuin University and an MBA from the Fox School of Business at Temple University, Japan Campus. He is also a Certified Member Analyst (CMA) of the Securities Analysts Association of Japan.
