Amit Gupta

Amit Gupta serves as Chief Executive Officer and Chief Investment Officer of Fiera Asia Credit and Head of U.S. Real Estate Debt. As the strategy leader, Amit has responsibility for the overall management of the Asia Credit Investment business as well as the U.S. Real Estate Debt team. He is based in Boston and spends his time between Fiera’s Boston and Hong Kong offices.

Amit is actively involved in investment management, portfolio construction and capital raising across the U.S. and Asia credit strategies. Amit’s 32+ years in the credit markets include investing in public and private credit markets in Asia and the U.S. He has successfully built private lending businesses in multiple jurisdictions, including the U.S., Australia, New Zealand, India, and China. He co-founded Clearwater Capital Partners, one of Asia’s pre-eminent credit investing platforms, in 2001 which was then acquired by Fiera in 2018. Prior to founding Clearwater, Amit worked for nine years in the credit markets doing research, analysis, making investments and writing loans at Goldman Sachs, Peregrine Fixed Income and ICICI.

Amit holds a Post Graduate Diploma in Management from the Indian Institute of Management, Calcutta and a Bachelor of Engineering in Electronics and Communications with Honors from the Indian Institute of Technology, Roorkee. Amit is fluent in English and Hindi. Outside the office, Amit dedicates time as a member of the Investment Committee at the Winsor School in Boston.
